Fallas festival in Denia is lived with a great variety of acts such as the "crida" announcing act, parades, “planta” the assembly of the monuments, "mascletaes" pyrotechnic festivals, fire festival, the flower offering to the Virgen de los Desamparados and the “cremà” burning of the monuments on Saint Joseph’s day. All of them fill the city with music, color, gunpowder, tradition and fun.
A total of eleven commissions, set up fallas monuments that decorate the city, authentic works of art that’s spread creativity and ingenuity. The fallas scenes represent satirical criticisms of current issues and public figures. The participation of the citizens is so great that one neighborhood (Grup de Mariners) of Dénia join this fiesta decorating its streets and elaborating their own monuments.
